Restock alert: Here’s where you can buy the PS5 Pulse 3D wireless headset

BACK IN STOCK: As of March 4, the Playstation 5 Pulse 3D wireless headset is up for grabs at Walmart for $97.99 and at Best Buy and the Playstation Store for $99.99.

While not quite as elusive as the console itself, retailers have had a tough time keeping Playstation 5 accessories on their shelves these past few months. (Thanks for nothing, scalpers and purchasing bots.) Among the trickier-to-find PS5 peripherals is Sony’s Pulse 3D wireless headset — after selling out its preorders almost a month before launch day rolled around, it’s been going in and out of stock ever since.
Lucky for you, posting up on product pages and hitting “refresh” over and over in the hopes of a restock is literally our job, which is all to say that the Pulse 3D headset is back up for grabs at select retailers as of March 4. We spotted it up for sale at Walmart for $97.99 and at Best Buy and the Playstation Store for $99.99. (It’s still sold out on Amazon and at GameStop, FYI.)  Read more…More about Mashable Shopping, Wireless Headsets, Gaming Headsets, Playstation 5, and Ps5

Featuring a sleek black-and-white design that matches the PS5, the Pulse 3D’s name comes from its support for the console’s Tempest 3D AudioTech engine, which produces super precise spacial sound; you’ll hear in-game noises relative to where you are in a scene or environment for heightened immersion. The headset connects easily to your console via wireless adapter, and you’ll get a solid 12 hours of wireless play out of it per session thanks to the built-in rechargeable battery.

Mashable hasn’t conducted an in-depth review of the Pulse 3D, but just know that our pals over at PCMag (which is owned by our publisher, Ziff Davis) docked a few points off the headset for its uncomfy fit for people with large ears and “mediocre” pinhole mic — boom ones sounds way better. Overall, though, they deemed it “a good-sounding, bass-forward headset that should please PS5 users.”
