SAVE $30: Walmart has both sizes of the Apple Watch Series 3 (GPS) on sale at their Prime Day pricing as of Dec. 17 — get the 38mm variant for $169 (normally $199) or the 42mm one for $199 (normally $229). At the time of writing, both are scheduled to arrive before Christmas.
The all-new Apple Watch Series 6 is nice and all, but there’s a reason why the Mashable’s Choice Award-winning Series 3 from 2017 is still a great buy in 2020 despite its older, slower processor: It still supports the latest version of watchOS and offers many of the same useful features as its successors (aside from extra fixings like an always-on display, fall detection, and an SpO2 sensor), all at about half their price.
The Series 3 is an *especially* great buy at this very moment: Not only are both sizes on sale for $30 off at Walmart — that matches their Prime Day pricing from this past October — but they’re also scheduled to arrive before Christmas if you place your order ASAP and opt for free two-day delivery. (Note that Amazon is offering the same holiday deal, but only one variant will arrive in time for your gift exchange at this point.)
Nabbing consistently good customer reviews over the years for its ease of use and swimproof design, the Series 3’s modest spec lineup includes a pretty Retina display, workout metrics, an optical heart sensor, an altimeter, and an Emergency SOS tool. (The newer Apple Watches have carried over versions of all of those features, FWIW.) The GPS configuration also comes equipped with 8GB of storage space for your go-to playlists, podcasts, and audiobooks — pair it with your AirPods for seamless on-the-go listening while you fold some laundry, make dinner, or take your daily quar walk.
